In the past few days we have seen multiple events, business, schools, restaurants closing their doors. It has become increasingly clear that gathering in larger groups is a concern and something to be avoided. The general recommendation is to remain as isolated as possible from these types of social events.
At this juncture we are leaving the Norwich Courts open for play. We understand that for many getting outside for exercise is one of the few things that we can still do during these trying times but it does require us to be respectful of those around us and in the community.
What we are asking, is that we all limit the use of the Paddle hut. This means it should not be used for social gatherings and that we should try and maintain social distances and by staying outside the hut along the benches.
If you do access the hut we ask that you observe many of the CDC recommendations. Wash your hands, wipe down and clean any areas of you come in contact with and maintain social distances. With regard to cleaning we will be adding cleaner at the HUT and will have our cleaning service do a thorough cleaning of the HUT.
Please be aware that if you have been exposed to anyone who is suspected to have the Covid -19 virus or that is undergoing testing at this time that you should not play paddle. You should Self - Quarantine for 14 days to ensure the safety of others.
If you do test positive for the virus and have been in contact with others from the club you will need to notify those individuals, so they can take appropriate actions and we would ask that you let the Board know.
The club will be moving forward with our normal preparation for the summer tennis season will be looking to have the courts fixed up for play and expect the courts will be ready in early to late May as per last year. We will be sending out dues membership in the coming weeks.
Please if you have any concerns do not hesitate to contact any one on the Board with questions - I have enclosed a recap on Covid -19 and this is one of the better documents I have seen to date
Thanks so much
